Craig Howells & Craig Smith are two local people who have been involved in Tool & Equipment hire for a combined 23 years. They have worked for national companies throughout Devon, most recently in Tavistock, where they ran a highly successful hire depot.

At the beginning of 2007, they decided to open and run an independent Hire centre in their home town of Tavistock. They are both local people from Tavistock, and are well known throughout the area.

The new hire centre is located in Pixon Trading Estate, on Pixon Lane, and is easily accessible with ample customer parking. The new show room has been created to offer a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, and the experienced staff are there to offer assistance and advice to all customers, both trade and DIY enthusiasts. They aim to provide customers with a highly professional, reliable and competitive service, all at a customer service level of the highest standard.

There is a vast range of hire equipment available, including mini diggers and dumpers, rollers, floor and edge sanders, carpet cleaners, wallpaper strippers, toilets, cement mixers, compactors, breakers etc. If there is an item required for hire which is not held in the depot, every effort will be made to source the equipment and make it available for hire ASAP, making Tavistock Hire Centre your complete one-stop hire centre.

A great new service offered is a 4hour hire rate, and also a ‘hire for 2 days, pay for 1 day’, for all weekend hires.

Stocked at the depot is a vast consumable range, including diamond products, ppe, hand tools, power tool accessories etc. They are also offering competitive prices on new power tool sales, from sanding machines to petrol disc cutters. Having recently secured a deal with Metabo, Tavistock Hire is now a recognised dealer and stocks a vast amount of Metabo equipment, both for hire and sale. Also available is a complete range of event and catering hire equipment, a service not currently available in the Tavistock area.

Tavistock Hire Centre will be offering a customer repair service, where all types of repairs are undertaken. We are also able to service and PAT test electrical equipment.
